The Rittal VX ESS energy storage enclosure provides a steel housing for battery modules and associated equipment. The enclosure has a roof plate, perforated door and perforated rear panel. Versions are available with or without flexible interior fitting.
Select the enclosure dimensions and mounting arrangement around the battery module drawing. Check module weight, support points, terminal positions and airflow requirements before specifying component shelves or slide rails.
Choose the required size, then select the interior fitting version. Models with the same external dimensions have different mounting arrangements, so confirm the full article number before ordering.

The listed VX ESS enclosures have an IP20 protection category. The perforated door and rear panel provide airflow openings; the enclosure does not provide protection against water ingress.
Check the room conditions, battery operating limits and ventilation requirements. Outdoor installation and special environmental conditions require suitability confirmation from Rittal.
The enclosure specification does not establish the electrical rating, energy capacity or fire performance of the completed storage system. These depend on the installed equipment and system design.
