Rittal VX25 Basic Enclosure – Baying Enclosure System
The Rittal VX25 Basic Enclosure is a modular bayed enclosure system for industrial control panels, machine automation, electrical distribution and larger switchgear installations.

Q1: How do I check whether my equipment will fit?A: Compare the equipment layout with the selected model’s mounting-plate dimensions and available installation depth. Allow space for wiring ducts, terminals, cable bends and door-mounted devices. External enclosure dimensions alone do not confirm the usable installation space.
Q2: Do standalone and bayed cabinets need the same accessories?
A: The accessory list depends on the installation. A standalone cabinet needs the appropriate closures for its exposed sides. A bayed suite also needs suitable connecting and sealing components, with end panels at the outer faces. Confirm the exact article numbers, cabinet arrangement and required quantities before ordering.
Q3: What protection standard does the VX25 enclosure meet?
A: Check the protection rating stated for the exact article number and intended assembly. Side closures, cable entries and cooling cut-outs must be considered when checking the completed installation. A cabinet-family description alone does not confirm the protection rating of the finished assembly.
Q4: How does the VX25 modular design simplify installation and future expansion?
A: VX25 cabinets can be bayed using the appropriate connection components.
