The VX Hybrid Double Door is a robust yet lightweight enclosure solution, perfect for applications where simple, quick deployment, portability, and safety are critical. The removable mullion allows for a single mounting panel and ample space for installing and removal of the panel. With corrosive resistant NEMA 4X rating, these enclosures have a place in nearly endless applications.

Rittal VX Hybrid Double Door stainless steel enclosures combine an AISI 304 housing with a full-width mounting panel and a removable center mullion. The series provides wide access for panel installation and servicing, with five nominal sizes for industrial control equipment.
IP66 and NEMA 4X protection make this series an option where dust, water exposure and corrosion resistance influence enclosure selection. Choose the cabinet size around the equipment layout, cable routing and installation environment, then confirm the required accessories and documentation for the selected model.

Check the panel layout first. Allow space for components, wiring ducts, cable bend radii and future additions. Nominal cabinet depth is different from usable equipment depth; verify the selected model's mounting panel position and front clearance.
Plan access and installation. Check the delivery route, door swing, floor fixing and space needed to insert or remove the mounting panel. The removable mullion provides a wider access opening during panel installation.
Match the material to the environment. The housing is AISI 304 stainless steel, while the supplied mounting panel is zinc-plated carbon steel. Share the expected chemicals, cleaning method, humidity and outdoor exposure when requesting a recommendation.
Review accessories and thermal requirements together. Specify base/plinth components, internal rails, cable entry, lighting and cooling with the enclosure model. Confirm accessory dimensions, materials and the required protection rating for the finished assembly.
Specify additional accessories separately in the quotation request. See base/plinth options, enclosure accessories and climate control products for project planning.
This series can be considered for control panels in water and wastewater facilities, utilities, food and beverage plants, energy projects and general industrial installations. Selection depends on the actual exposure conditions, equipment layout and required approvals. For hazardous locations or specific hygiene requirements, confirm the required certification separately.
Q1: Is the mounting panel also stainless steel?
A: The supplied mounting panel is 3.0 mm zinc-plated carbon steel. Tell SUWI if the project requires a different mounting panel material.
Q2: Can the enclosure depth be used as the available component depth?
A: Use the selected model's usable depth and dimensional drawing for the equipment layout. Also allow clearance for terminals, wiring and door-mounted devices.
Q3: Does NEMA 4X make every modified enclosure suitable for the same environment?
A: Cable entries, cutouts, seals and cooling equipment must be selected and installed to maintain the required protection. Review the completed configuration against the project requirements.
Q4: What information is needed for a quotation?
A: Send the model number, quantity, delivery destination, equipment layout, operating environment and required accessories. Include any cutout drawings or approval requirements.
Specify your VX Hybrid stainless steel enclosure. Send SUWI the selected model and project requirements to request a quotation and accessory review.
