Rittal Modular enclosure Baying-enclosure system VX25

The Rittal VX25 modular baying enclosure system accommodates partial doors and internal compartments. Panel builders can specify the enclosure dimensions, door positions and compartment layout to suit the equipment arrangement.

Protection and Installation Conditions

Rittal specifies protection up to IP54 to EN 60529, depending on the panels fitted. The rating applies to the relevant assembled configuration. An open frame or a different panel arrangement does not automatically provide the same protection.

Check the selected panels, ventilation openings, cable entries and seals against the required protection level. Confirm suitability separately for washdown, corrosive or outdoor locations.

How to Select a VX25 Modular Enclosure

1. Define the access and compartment layout. Identify which equipment needs a separate door and where internal separation is required. Internal separation alone does not establish that access is safe while adjacent equipment remains energised.
2. Check the installation space. Allow for equipment depth, terminals, cable bending, door movement and maintenance access. Include the base/plinth in the overall height.
3. Plan the enclosure row. Confirm the number of bays, end panels and compatible baying components using the assembly drawings.
4. Check heat dissipation. Establish equipment heat losses, ambient conditions and the required protection before specifying ventilation or cooling.
