Rittal Blue e remote monitoring adapter 3124310
SK 3124310 connects compatible Rittal Blue e cooling units with an e-Comfort controller to the SK 3124300 IoT Interface. It transfers cooling-unit data, operating states and system messages. The adapter and the IoT Interface have different roles; this adapter is not a standalone Ethernet gateway.
Before ordering, confirm the cooling-unit article number, controller type, existing IoT Interface and the monitoring system you intend to connect.

The system supports true plug-and-play deployment: the IoT interface can be quickly configured and commissioned via its integrated web server, requiring no additional programming effort.
It enables condition monitoring for up to 10 cooling units in a master/slave configuration, providing centralized visibility and improved operational transparency across connected systems.

A Blue e label alone is insufficient confirmation. For Blue e+ equipment, check its own IoT connection requirements rather than automatically adding this adapter.

The adapter lists Modbus RTU and a cooling-unit interface. Network functions such as OPC-UA, SNMP, Modbus/TCP and web configuration belong to the IoT Interface. Confirm the target PLC/SCADA protocol, available data and configuration requirements before specifying the system.
Web commissioning of the IoT Interface does not mean that every PLC or SCADA integration is ready without data mapping or configuration.

1Q: Can I retrofit my existing cooling unit?
A: Check its full article number and controller type first. Send the nameplate and controller photo; the Blue e series name alone does not confirm compatibility.
A: No. For the documented arrangement, you also need a compatible IoT Interface, its power supply and the required connections. Confirm what is already installed before ordering.
A: Do not assume this from the connector shape. The documented path uses SK 3124300; check the PLC protocol and data requirements against the interface documentation.
A: Confirm the layout first. A documented master/slave arrangement differs from independently connected units, so calculate the adapter and cable quantities from the actual system design.
A: Check device compatibility, interface firmware, cable connections and power. Then use the manual’s LED indications and troubleshooting guidance to locate the issue.
