Rittal AE 1035500 Wall-Mounted Enclosure

Rittal AE 1035500 (AE 1035.500) is a 200 × 300 × 155 mm sheet steel wall-mounted enclosure for compact indoor terminal, relay and instrumentation assemblies. Its 200 mm width suits a narrow installation location; the component layout must fit the mounting plate and leave room for wiring and service access. The RAL 7035 enclosure includes a hinged door, a 162 × 275 mm zinc-plated mounting plate, a bottom gland plate and a 3 mm double-bit cam lock. Rittal specifies IP55, NEMA 12 and IK08 for the enclosure. Electrical components, DIN rails, cable glands and wall mounting brackets are selected separately.

AE 1035500 Selection: Narrow Width and 155 mm Depth

Lay out components on the 162 × 275 mm mounting plate, allowing for terminal access and wiring ducts within its narrow width. The 200 × 300 mm outside dimensions do not represent the available equipment mounting area. AE 1035500 has a 155 mm external depth; check the enclosure drawing for clearance between the mounting plate, installed components and door equipment. AE 1032500 has the same outside width and height and the same mounting plate dimensions, but a 120 mm external depth. AE 1035500 adds 35 mm of external depth, rather than more mounting plate area. Confirm the usable clearance before choosing between these two models.

Size 1 Bottom Gland Plate: Plan Cable Entry for the Narrow Base

AE 1035500 includes one size 1 gland plate in the enclosure base. Plan the cable entry layout around the narrow enclosure width, leaving clearance between gland bodies and room for cables to bend toward terminals. Cable glands are selected separately. Confirm gland sizes, hole spacing, cable bend radius and sealing before machining. Deburr openings, remove metal swarf and protect exposed steel edges. Select glands and blanking plugs suitable for the required protection level.

Replacement Parts and Alternative Enclosure Sizes

When replacing an enclosure, check the nameplate for AE 1035500 or AE 1035.500 and confirm the 200 × 300 × 155 mm dimensions. Send photos of the door, lock, gland plate and mounting arrangement. A similar enclosure width and height do not establish equivalent depth or accessory fit. The accessory cards retain the AE reference range and are not a compatible kit for AE 1035500. In particular, size 3 gland plates, 210 mm interior rails and lights wider than this 200 mm enclosure must not be treated as direct-fit accessories. Submit your accessory list so the correct sizes and fixing arrangements can be confirmed.
