Rittal AE 1037500 Wall-Mounted Enclosure

Rittal AE 1037500 (AE 1037.500) is a 400 × 800 × 300 mm sheet steel wall-mounted enclosure for wall-mounted electrical control and instrumentation assemblies. Its tall mounting area supports layouts arranged in several component rows. Check component projection, wiring ducts and cable bends against the available internal clearance before choosing the 300 mm external depth. The RAL 7035 enclosure includes a hinged door, a 349 × 770 mm zinc-plated mounting plate, a bottom gland plate and two 3 mm double-bit cam locks. Rittal specifies IP66, NEMA 4 and IK08 for the enclosure. Electrical components, DIN rails, cable glands and wall mounting brackets are selected separately.

AE 1037500 Layout: Use the 349 × 770 mm Mounting Plate

Base the component layout on the 349 × 770 mm mounting plate, rather than the 400 × 800 mm outside dimensions. Arrange component rows, terminal strips and wiring ducts with access for installation and maintenance. The tall plate provides mounting area, but the 349 mm width still limits the space available beside each component row. The 300 mm external depth is not the usable component clearance; check the tallest device, cable bends and the rear projection of door-mounted controls against the enclosure drawing. Assess component heat losses and ambient conditions before specifying any ventilation or cooling equipment.

AE 1037500 Bottom Cable Entry: Plan Holes Before Machining

AE 1037500 includes one size 4 bottom gland plate. Plan incoming power and control cables together with the terminal layout, gland spacing and cable bend requirements. Cable glands are selected separately. Confirm the dimensions and fixing pattern before ordering a replacement plate. Confirm gland sizes, hole spacing, cable bend radius and sealing before machining. Deburr openings, remove metal swarf and protect exposed steel edges. Select glands and blanking plugs suitable for the required protection level.

Replacement Parts and Alternative Enclosure Sizes

For an enclosure replacement, confirm AE 1037500 or AE 1037.500 on the nameplate and check the 400 × 800 × 300 mm dimensions, wall fixings and existing cable openings. Send photos of the door, lock, gland plate and mounting arrangement. A similar enclosure width and height do not establish equivalent depth or accessory fit. The accessory cards show AE parts to review, rather than a preconfigured kit. Confirm size 4 gland plate dimensions, both cam lock positions and the fixing space for lighting. The size 3 gland plates and 210 mm interior rail shown above must not be treated as direct-fit parts for AE 1037500.
