Rittal AE 1036500 Wall-Mounted Enclosure

Rittal AE 1036500 (AE 1036.500) is a 300 × 300 × 155 mm sheet steel wall-mounted enclosure for compact electrical control and instrumentation assemblies. Its square footprint provides a compact housing where installation depth is limited. Check the component projection, cable bends and any door equipment against the available internal clearance before selecting the 155 mm external depth. The RAL 7035 enclosure includes a hinged door, a 254 × 275 mm zinc-plated mounting plate, a bottom gland plate and a 3 mm double-bit cam lock. Rittal specifies IP66, NEMA 4 and IK08 for the enclosure. Electrical components, DIN rails, cable glands and wall mounting brackets are selected separately.

AE 1036500 Selection: 300 mm Square Housing with 155 mm Depth

Use the 254 × 275 mm mounting plate to check component rows, terminals and wiring ducts. The 300 × 300 mm outside dimensions do not represent the equipment mounting area. AE 1036500 has a 155 mm external depth; the usable clearance must be checked against the enclosure drawing and selected mounting arrangement. AE 1033500 has the same outside width and height and the same mounting plate dimensions, but a 210 mm external depth. Choose AE 1036500 when the verified layout fits the shallower housing. Compare AE 1033500 if component projection or cable bends require more depth; the deeper model does not add mounting plate area.

AE 1036500 Cable Entry: Allow for Bends in the 155 mm Housing

AE 1036500 includes one bottom gland plate. Plan gland positions together with the internal wiring path, allowing enough bend space between cable entry and terminals. Cable glands are selected separately. Confirm the gland plate dimensions and fixing pattern before ordering a replacement or alternative plate. Confirm gland sizes, hole spacing, cable bend radius and sealing before machining. Deburr openings, remove metal swarf and protect exposed steel edges. Select glands and blanking plugs suitable for the required protection level.

Replacement Parts and Alternative Enclosure Sizes

When replacing an enclosure, check the nameplate for AE 1036500 or AE 1036.500 and confirm the 300 × 300 × 155 mm dimensions. Send photos of the door, lock, gland plate and mounting arrangement. A similar enclosure width and height do not establish equivalent depth or accessory fit. The accessory cards show AE parts to review, rather than a preconfigured kit. Confirm gland plate dimensions, lock configuration and the available space for lighting. The 2383210 rail shown is intended for 210 mm enclosure depth and must not be selected as a direct-fit rail for this 155 mm model. A 330 mm light must not be assumed to fit horizontally inside this 300 mm wide enclosure. Provide the original article number and part photos when ordering replacement hardware.
