Rittal AE 1033500 Wall-Mounted Enclosure

Rittal AE 1033500 (AE 1033.500) is a 300 × 300 × 210 mm sheet steel wall-mounted enclosure for compact electrical control and instrumentation assemblies. Its square footprint suits layouts that need a 300 mm wide housing, while the 210 mm external depth must still be checked against component and wiring clearances. The RAL 7035 enclosure includes a hinged door, a 254 × 275 mm zinc-plated mounting plate, a bottom gland plate and a 3 mm double-bit cam lock. Rittal specifies IP66, NEMA 4 and IK08 for the enclosure. Electrical components, DIN rails, cable glands and wall mounting brackets are selected separately.

AE 1033500 Layout: Mounting Plate Area and Installation Depth

Use the 254 × 275 mm mounting plate to lay out terminals, relays, wiring ducts and other selected components. The 300 × 300 mm outside dimensions are not the equipment mounting area. AE 1033500 has a 210 mm external depth; usable clearance depends on the mounting plate position, component projection and door equipment. Check the enclosure drawing, terminal access and cable bend space before selecting this model. The 254 mm plate width must accommodate both the component layout and wiring ducts. Choose a wider AE enclosure if the completed layout cannot be wired or serviced within that space.

Bottom Gland Plate: Confirm Cable Entry Before Machining

AE 1033500 includes one gland plate in the enclosure base. Confirm the replacement plate dimensions and fixing pattern before selecting another gland plate. Use this plate to plan the cable entry layout; cable glands are not included. Confirm gland sizes, hole spacing, cable bend radius and sealing before machining. Deburr openings, remove metal swarf and protect exposed steel edges. Select glands and blanking plugs suitable for the required protection level.

Replacement Parts and Alternative Enclosure Sizes

When replacing an enclosure, check the nameplate for AE 1033500 or AE 1033.500 and confirm the 300 × 300 × 210 mm dimensions. Send photos of the door, lock, gland plate and mounting arrangement. A similar enclosure width and height do not establish equivalent depth or accessory fit. The accessory cards show AE parts to review, rather than a preconfigured kit. Confirm gland plate dimensions, lock configuration, rail fixing positions and the available space for lighting. A 330 mm light must not be assumed to fit horizontally inside this 300 mm wide enclosure. Provide the original article number and part photos when ordering replacement hardware.
