Semi-cylinder For handle systems

Rittal Semi-cylinder for handle systems is a replaceable locking component designed for compatible enclosure handle systems. Installed within the handle, it provides the required locking or operating function, depending on the selected model.

Available configurations support key-operated locking, push-button operation, or a combination of both. The semi-cylinder can be replaced separately without replacing the complete handle, making it suitable for new installations, maintenance and replacement applications.

The semi-cylinder provides the locking or operating function used within compatible Rittal enclosure handle systems. Depending on the selected model, it can provide key-operated locking, push-button operation, or a combination of both.

• Control cabinet access: Restrict access to electrical enclosures and control cabinets to authorized personnel.
• Secure the handle system: Add a key-operated locking function to compatible enclosure handles.
• Replace the locking component: Replace a worn, damaged or unsuitable cylinder without changing the complete handle system.
• Support maintenance access: Allow authorized technicians to access internal electrical components while keeping the enclosure secured during normal operation.

• Semi-cylinder Model Differences

Semi-cylinder models are designed for different locking requirements and handle system configurations. Although the cylinders may appear similar, they can differ in their locking system, key configuration and compatibility with specific handles.

When comparing models, check the following:

• Locking system: Different models may use different lock or key systems.
• Key configuration: Check whether the cylinder is supplied with a specific key arrangement or designed for an existing locking system.
• Handle compatibility: Confirm that the semi-cylinder is suitable for the handle system installed on the enclosure.
• Replacement requirements: When replacing an existing cylinder, verify the current lock type and model before ordering.

SZ 2467.000 is fitted with security lock insert No. 3524 E and is supplied with two keys. It is intended for applications where access to the enclosure needs to be controlled by a key.Best suited for: Enclosures where authorized personnel should require a key to open the handle system.

SZ 2468.000 uses a push-button insert rather than a keyed security lock. It provides push-button operation without the key-controlled locking function of the other two models.Best suited for: Applications where convenient handle operation is required without key-based access control.

SZ 2469.000 combines a push-button with security lock insert No. 12321 and is supplied with two keys. The lock number is fixed at 12321; according to Rittal, no other lock is possible for this model.Best suited for: Applications that require push-button operation together with key-controlled locking.

Before Ordering a Replacement Semi-cylinder

Do not select the replacement by cylinder appearance alone. First identify the installed handle system and check the existing lock insert or article number. If the existing model cannot be identified, send us a clear photo of the handle and installed lock component for compatibility checking before quotation.
