The outlet filter is used in conjunction with the corresponding fan-and-filter unit to dissipate heat loss from enclosures, ventilate the enclosure and protect temperature-sensitive components. This is achieved through the direct infeed of ambient air, the temperature of which must be lower than the permissible internal temperature of the enclosure.

The Rittal SK 3237308 is a RAL 9005 black Blue e+ outlet filter - intended to be used together with a matching SK 3237.7xx fan & filter. It is the part of the air outlet where the filtered air is exhausted from the cabinet when the fan draws in air from the environment. This ventilation can be used to remove heat from the enclosure and ensure proper operating temperatures for temperature sensitive equipment.
It's used in control cabinets and industrial enclosures in which ventilation is fan-assisted. The black finish is suitable for enclosure designs required for RAL 9005 and the outlet filter provides an air flow path between the powered fan and the enclosure outlet opening.

Choose SK 3237308 when the enclosure uses a Blue e+ SK 3237.7xx fan-and-filter unit and the outlet grille must have a RAL 9005 black finish. The 92 × 92 mm mounting cut-out and 116.5 × 116.5 mm face should be checked against the enclosure drawing before installation.
This model is also suited to installations where technicians need straightforward access to the filter mat. Its opening louvred grille allows the mat to be reached during routine maintenance, and the optimized snap hooks support tool-free mounting.
The supplied chopped-fibre filter mat supports the specified IP54 and NEMA Type 12 configuration. If the installation requires IP56 or NEMA Type 3/3R, check the completed filter-and-hood arrangement, including space for the hose-proof hood. Because this is a passive outlet, the enclosure heat loss and ambient temperature must be considered when selecting the matching powered fan.
