Rittal AE 1030500 Wall-Mounted Enclosure

Rittal AE 1030500 (AE 1030.500) is a 380 × 300 × 155 mm sheet steel wall-mounted enclosure for electrical control and instrumentation layouts. The RAL 7035 enclosure includes a hinged door, a 334 × 275 mm zinc-plated mounting plate, a bottom gland plate and a 3 mm double-bit cam lock. Rittal specifies IP66, NEMA 4 and IK08 for the enclosure. Electrical components, DIN rails, cable glands and wall mounting brackets are selected separately.

AE 1030500 Layout: Mounting Plate Area and Installation Depth

Use the 334 × 275 mm mounting plate to lay out terminals, relays, wiring ducts and other selected components. The 380 × 300 mm outside dimensions are not the equipment mounting area. AE 1030500 has a 155 mm external depth; usable clearance depends on the mounting plate position, component projection and door equipment. Check the enclosure drawing and cable bend space before choosing this shallow enclosure. If the layout needs more depth, compare another AE size before drilling or ordering accessories.

Bottom Gland Plate: Confirm Cable Entry Before Machining

AE 1030500 includes one size 3 gland plate in the enclosure base. Use this plate to plan the cable entry layout; cable glands are not included. Confirm gland sizes, hole spacing, cable bend radius and sealing before machining. Deburr openings, remove metal swarf and protect exposed steel edges. Select glands and blanking plugs suitable for the required protection level.
