The Rittal AX 1073000 is a large square-format carbon steel wall-mounted enclosure for control systems that need substantial mounting capacity in both directions. Its 760 × 760 × 300 mm body provides a balanced 705 × 735 mm mounting area and useful front-to-back clearance, while IP66 sealing and IK10 impact resistance support demanding industrial locations.

When the Layout Needs Nearly Equal Width and Height
AX 1073000 provides a 705 × 735 mm mounting panel for designs that need long horizontal rows and meaningful vertical separation at the same time. Its square proportions suit balanced equipment zones, while 300 mm enclosure depth leaves room for component projection, terminals and cable bends beyond the mounting panel.
Choose AX 1055000 when greater horizontal span is more important than mounting height; its panel is wider but substantially shorter. Choose AX 1058000 when the design favors vertical height and can use a narrower panel with 250 mm depth. Before machining AX 1073000, confirm the complete two-axis layout, deepest component, both lock positions, door clearances and how incoming cables will be divided between the two size 5 base openings.

The standard configuration includes a 705 × 735 mm mounting panel and two size 5 gland plates in the enclosure base. Plan both entry positions together so cable groups align with the horizontal and vertical routing zones above.
AX 1073000 uses interior rails specified for 300 mm depth and has two size 5 base openings. Diaphragm plates support direct cable penetration, while two-piece clamping-profile plates suit cables with pre-terminated connectors; replacing both openings requires two matching plates.
