The Rittal AX 1380000 is a compact, nearly square 380 × 380 × 210 mm carbon steel wall-mounted enclosure with one door and one cam lock. Its 330 × 355 mm mounting panel suits a small control or junction layout where the available wall area is limited. The specified IP66, NEMA/UL Type 1, 3R, 4 and 12, and IK10 ratings provide protection for suitable industrial installations.

Choosing a Compact Square Layout
The 330 × 355 mm mounting panel favors a concentrated layout: place the main device, terminals and cable routing on the panel drawing before assigning door-mounted controls. The 210 mm figure is the external depth, so verify the deepest installed component and wire bends against the actual usable clearance. With one size 2 base opening, group the incoming cables and check gland spacing before cutting the plate.
Choose AX 1033000 when a 250 × 275 mm panel and 300 × 300 × 210 mm body are enough. Choose AX 1038000 when the same 380 mm enclosure width needs more height: its body is 380 × 600 × 210 mm with a 330 × 575 mm panel. Before machining AX 1380000, check hinge direction, the cam-lock and seal areas, the one base-entry cutout, and the door swing next to neighboring equipment.

The supplied enclosure includes the 330 × 355 mm mounting panel, a single interchangeable door, one size 2 gland plate, a punched door strip and one cam lock with a 3 mm double-bit insert. Allow for the base opening and lock hardware in the finished wiring layout.
AX 2394210 interior rails are specified for the 210 mm enclosure depth. A size 2 replacement gland plate, such as 2562300, corresponds to the single base opening; check cable count, diameters and sealing requirements before ordering. Confirm the fit of optional door and wall accessories against the compact body.
