Rittal SK 3304500 TopTherm Blue e Wall-Mounted Cooling Unit

Rittal SK 3304500 is a 230 V single-phase Blue e TopTherm wall-mounted cooling unit for electrical enclosures. Its e-Comfort controller regulates cabinet temperature, while the integral electric condensate evaporator handles condensate produced during cooling. The unit provides active cooling where warm ambient air makes fan ventilation insufficient.

Check Cooling Capacity for Hot Ambient Conditions

SK 3304500 provides 1.10 kW at L35/L35 and 0.91 kW at L35/L50 at 50 Hz. L35/L35 means a cabinet internal temperature of 35 °C and ambient air at 35 °C. L35/L50 uses the same internal temperature with ambient air at 50 °C. Use the output at the installation’s design temperatures when selecting the unit.

For example, a calculated cooling duty of 1.0 kW at 35 °C inside and 50 °C outside exceeds this model’s 50 Hz rating. Choose a unit with sufficient capacity at those conditions. Include component heat losses and enclosure heat transfer in the calculation; a drive’s motor power is not its heat loss inside the cabinet.

Confirm the Mounting Arrangement Before Installation

Choose external, partial internal or full internal mounting using the corresponding Rittal installation drawing. The overall housing dimensions are not the cabinet cut-out dimensions. Check internal clearance, the mounting surface’s load capacity and access for maintenance. For door mounting, also check the hinges, door alignment and sealing.

Keep the internal and external air inlets and outlets clear. Cable ducts, nearby walls and densely packed components can restrict airflow. Confirm the electrical connection and protective device against the unit’s nameplate and installation instructions before commissioning.
