The outlet filter is used in conjunction with the corresponding fan-and-filter unit to dissipate heat loss from enclosures, ventilate the enclosure and protect temperature-sensitive components. This is achieved through the direct infeed of ambient air, the temperature of which must be lower than the permissible internal temperature of the enclosure.

The Rittal SK 3238308 is a RAL 9005 black Blue e+ outlet filter for use with SK 3238.7xx fan-and-filter units. It provides a filtered outlet in an enclosure ventilation system. Together with the powered inlet fan, it allows heated air to leave the enclosure while the fan draws in cooler ambient air, helping manage heat from temperature-sensitive electrical equipment.

Choose SK 3238308 when the enclosure uses an SK 3238.7xx Blue e+ fan-and-filter unit and its outlet is specified in RAL 9005 black. The black grille can align with a dark enclosure exterior. Its 148.5 × 148.5 mm face and 124 × 124 mm mounting cut-out should be checked against the panel drawing.
The supplied pleated filter helps keep the ventilation outlet filtered, while the opening louvred grille gives technicians access for routine filter changes. Optimized snap hooks allow tool-free installation in the prepared enclosure cut-out.
With a pleated filter, Rittal specifies IP54 and NEMA Type 12. An absorber mat is additionally required for the specified IP55 arrangement; the hose-proof hood is required for the specified IP56 and NEMA Type 3/3R/4/4X arrangement. Select the powered fan according to enclosure heat loss and ambient conditions.
