AX Stainless Steel Model Comparison

Choose AX 1009000 when a wider mounting plate allows the equipment to be arranged in clear functional groups without stacking too many components vertically. The 550 mm plate width can provide separate areas for power, control and terminal components while leaving practical routes for wiring between them. AX 1006000 is more appropriate when the same equipment can be organised efficiently within a 330 mm-wide mounting plate. AX 1010000 becomes relevant when 550 mm of mounting width is already required but the 355 mm plate height begins to restrict component separation, additional DIN-rail levels or wiring-duct clearance.

Before Ordering AX 1009000

1. Check whether the layout actually requires 550 mm of mounting width

The mounting plate measures 550 × 355 mm. Use the planned component arrangement to determine whether the additional horizontal area is necessary. If the equipment already fits comfortably within a narrower mounting plate, the 600 mm enclosure width may provide unused space without solving another installation constraint.

2. Plan side-by-side component groups

AX 1009000 is particularly suited to layouts that benefit from horizontal distribution. Plan power devices, control components, terminal groups and wiring ducts as functional sections across the mounting plate rather than treating the additional width only as reserve space.

3. Account for horizontal cable routing

A wider component layout can require longer horizontal wiring routes. Reserve sufficient space for wiring ducts, conductor bends and transitions between component groups before finalising the mounting arrangement.

4. Check whether 380 mm enclosure height is sufficient

The additional width does not increase mounting height. Components installed on the mounting plate must still fit within its 355 mm usable height, together with wiring ducts and required clearances. If the layout requires multiple vertically stacked component levels, compare a taller AX configuration.

5. Check depth independently

AX 1009000 remains 210 mm deep. Deep devices, connectors, wiring ducts and door-mounted equipment therefore require a separate clearance check. The 600 mm width does not provide additional component depth.

AX 1009000 is supplied with the stainless steel enclosure and single door, a zinc-plated mounting plate and a 3 mm double-bit locking arrangement. The door has a 130° opening angle.
