The Rittal AX 1045000 is a medium-format carbon steel wall-mounted enclosure for control layouts that need useful width and height in similar proportion. Its 400 × 500 × 210 mm body accommodates mixed horizontal and vertical device arrangements without the wall projection of a 300 mm-deep housing, while IP66 and IK10 protection support demanding industrial environments.

When Balanced Width and Height Reduce Layout Compromise
AX 1045000 provides a 350 × 475 mm mounting panel. The 350 mm usable width supports moderate side-by-side device groups, while 475 mm of mounting height leaves room for stacked control, terminal and wiring zones. The 210 mm enclosure depth is suited to layouts where wall projection or aisle clearance must remain controlled.
Choose AX 1034000 when a narrower 300 × 400 × 210 mm enclosure is sufficient. Choose AX 1038000 when the design needs more vertical mounting space and can use a 380 × 600 × 210 mm body. Before machining AX 1045000, check the 350 mm usable width, both lock positions, cable-bend space below the mounting area and the projection of components fitted to the door.

The standard configuration includes a 350 × 475 mm mounting panel and one size 2 gland plate in the enclosure base. Define cable quantity, outside diameter and connector dimensions before selecting an alternative entry plate.
AX 1045000 uses interior rails for 210 mm enclosure depth and cable-entry parts for the size 2 base opening. Select the gland-plate design only after the cable count, connector dimensions and minimum bend radius have been defined.
