The Rittal AX 1050000 is a square-format carbon steel wall-mounted enclosure for control layouts that need comparable horizontal and vertical working space. Its 500 × 500 × 210 mm body supports symmetrical or multi-zone arrangements without favoring a tall or wide orientation, while the shallow profile, IP66 sealing and IK10 impact resistance suit demanding industrial locations.

When a Square Front Area Simplifies Two-Directional Layouts
AX 1050000 provides a 450 × 475 mm mounting panel. This near-square working area can be divided into upper and lower control zones, left and right functional groups, or a four-quadrant layout without creating the narrow rows associated with portrait enclosures. The 210 mm depth also limits projection from the wall.
Choose AX 1045000 when the same 500 mm enclosure height is required but 400 mm width is enough. Choose AX 1038000 for a more vertical 380 × 600 mm layout, or AX 1039000 for a wider, lower 600 × 380 mm arrangement. Before machining AX 1050000, verify the 450 mm usable width, both lock positions, cable routing through the size 3 base opening and door-component clearance around the seal.

The standard configuration includes a 450 × 475 mm mounting panel and one size 3 gland plate in the enclosure base. Define cable quantity, outside diameter and connector dimensions before selecting an alternative entry plate.
AX 1050000 requires interior rails for 210 mm enclosure depth and replacement entry plates matching gland-plate size 3. Use the wider size 3 entry area only after incoming cable groups, connector sizes and separation requirements have been mapped.
