The Rittal AX 1059000 is a deep single-door carbon steel wall-mounted enclosure for control systems with projecting devices, layered wiring or greater front-to-back service clearance. Its 600 × 800 × 400 mm body combines a broad 545 × 775 mm mounting area with generous installation depth, while IP66 sealing and IK10 impact resistance support demanding industrial locations.

When 400 mm Depth Is the Deciding Dimension
AX 1059000 uses the same 545 × 775 mm mounting-panel footprint as AX 1058000, but increases enclosure depth from 250 to 400 mm. That difference matters when the assembly includes deep device bodies, forward-facing terminals, stacked wiring paths or cable bends that cannot be accommodated safely in a shallower housing.
Choose AX 1058000 when the complete assembly fits within 250 mm depth and lower wall projection is more important. Choose AX 1037000 when 300 mm depth is sufficient and a narrower 345 mm mounting-panel width can hold the layout. Before machining AX 1059000, measure the deepest installed component together with its terminals and bend radius, then check front clearance, both lock positions and the size 7 base-entry area.

The standard configuration includes a 545 × 775 mm mounting panel and one size 7 gland plate in the enclosure base. Define cable quantity, outside diameter and connector dimensions before selecting an alternative entry plate.
AX 1059000 requires interior rails specified for 400 mm enclosure depth and replacement entry plates matching gland-plate size 7. Confirm that each accessory matches the deeper housing and the larger base opening rather than selecting by the 600 × 800 mm front dimensions alone.

AX 1059000 provides a 600 × 800 × 400 mm enclosure with a 545 × 775 mm mounting panel. Compare AX 1058000 when the same panel area is required but 250 mm depth is sufficient, or AX 1037000 when 300 mm depth and a narrower mounting area better match the assembly.
