The Rittal AX 1091000 is a deep, extra-tall single-door carbon steel wall-mounted enclosure for control systems that need extensive vertical mounting capacity and generous front-to-back clearance. Its 600 × 1,000 × 400 mm body combines a 545 × 975 mm mounting area with room for components with greater projection, terminal access and cable bends, while IP66 sealing and IK10 impact resistance support demanding industrial locations.

When Both 975 mm Panel Height and 400 mm Depth Are Required
AX 1091000 combines a 545 × 975 mm mounting panel with 400 mm enclosure depth for assemblies that need many vertical equipment rows plus substantial clearance in front of the panel. The deeper body is useful when component projection, terminal access, larger cable bends or door-mounted devices would make a 250 mm-deep enclosure restrictive.
Choose AX 1090000 when the same 600 × 1,000 mm face size and panel area are required but 250 mm depth is sufficient. Choose AX 1059000 when 400 mm depth is necessary but a 545 × 775 mm mounting panel can hold the shorter layout. Before machining AX 1091000, verify the deepest installed component with terminals and wiring, cable-bend radii, duct-cover access, door-mounted equipment clearance, both lock positions and the size 7 base-entry zone.

The standard configuration includes a 545 × 975 mm mounting panel and one size 7 gland plate in the enclosure base. Define cable quantity, outside diameter and connector dimensions before selecting an alternative entry plate.
AX 1091000 requires interior rails specified for 400 mm enclosure depth and replacement entry plates matching gland-plate size 7. Coordinate the deeper base-entry area with cable grouping, connector dimensions and the vertical route to upper equipment rows before finalizing the panel layout.
