The Rittal AX 1096000 is a broad double-door carbon steel wall-mounted enclosure for control systems that need extensive horizontal mounting space and practical vertical zoning. Its 1,000 × 600 × 300 mm body provides a 950 × 575 mm mounting area for multiple device rows or separated functional sections, while the two door leaves divide the wide front opening. IP55 protection and IK10 impact resistance suit protected industrial locations.

When the Assembly Needs 950 mm of Usable Panel Width
AX 1096000 provides a 950 × 575 mm mounting panel for designs that cannot be compressed into the 750 mm panel width of smaller double-door AX enclosures. The additional horizontal span can accommodate longer device rows, broader terminal sections or two functional zones placed side by side, while 575 mm of panel height supports several organized rows.
Choose AX 1055000 when a 750 × 575 mm panel is sufficient and reducing enclosure width by 200 mm is preferred. Choose AX 1095000 when the design can also use a shorter 375 mm panel height. Before machining AX 1096000, divide the mounting drawing into left and right service zones, assign each door cut-out to its door leaf, check the door meeting edges and lock areas, and route incoming cables through the two size 6 base-entry zones.

The standard configuration includes a 950 × 575 mm mounting panel and two size 6 gland plates in the enclosure base. Define cable quantity, outside diameter and connector dimensions for each entry zone before selecting alternative plates.
AX 1096000 uses interior rails specified for 300 mm enclosure depth and replacement entry plates matching gland-plate size 6. With two separate base plates across the 1,000 mm cabinet width, determine whether each cable group enters beneath its corresponding functional zone before setting the replacement quantity.

AX 1096000 provides a 1,000 × 600 × 300 mm double-door enclosure with a 950 × 575 mm mounting panel. Compare AX 1055000 when 750 mm of panel width is sufficient at the same panel height and depth, or AX 1095000 when both a narrower and shorter panel can hold the design. Base the change on horizontal row length, functional-zone width, vertical row count and available wall area.
