The Rittal AX 1116000 is a large, near-square double-door carbon steel wall-mounted enclosure for control systems that need substantial horizontal span and multiple vertical equipment levels in one cabinet. Its 1,200 × 1,200 × 400 mm body provides a 1,145 × 1,175 mm mounting area and 400 mm enclosure depth for projected devices, terminals and cable bends. IP55, NEMA 1/12, UL Type 1/12 and IK10 ratings support protected industrial installations.

When Horizontal Span and Vertical Capacity Must Stay Balanced
AX 1116000 provides a near-square 1,145 × 1,175 mm mounting panel, giving designers enough width for long device, distribution or terminal rows without sacrificing the height needed for several functional levels. The 400 mm enclosure depth supports projected equipment and cable bends across both upper and lower panel zones.
Choose AX 1115000 when 945 mm of panel width is sufficient but the layout benefits from 1,375 mm of panel height at the same 400 mm depth. Choose AX 1113000 when the design needs the 1,145 mm panel width but only 575 mm of panel height and 300 mm depth. Before machining AX 1116000, verify the longest horizontal run and total row count, calculate the complete component-to-door depth stack, confirm populated weight and wall support, then preserve the three-point locking path and selected hinge orientation when assigning door cut-outs.
Use this supply list to separate the included enclosure components from optional interior-installation and cable-entry parts:
Supply includes the double-door enclosure, 1,145 × 1,175 mm mounting panel, two size 7 gland plates, punched door strip and one three-point locking system with a 3 mm double-bit insert. The door catch is interchangeable. Divide the cable schedule between the two base openings and confirm connector dimensions before changing either gland plate.
AX 1116000 uses the 400 mm-depth interior rail and size 7 replacement cable-entry plates. Its near-square panel can be divided into left/right functions as well as upper/lower levels, so allocate both base openings around the actual vertical trunk routes instead of sending all conductors through one side of the enclosure.
