Rittal Cable Entry Plates for VX & VX SE Enclosures

Rittal cable entry plates for VX and VX SE enclosures replace segments of the standard divided base plates to accept cable entry grommets or connector grommets. Select the plate by enclosure width, then choose the sealing components for the cables and connectors entering the cabinet.

Choose by Enclosure Width

The width column refers to the cabinet width, not the physical width of an individual plate. Cut-outs are counted per plate, and plates per pack are shown separately. A cut-out does not automatically correspond to one cable: cable capacity depends on the grommet selected.

Check the Cable Entry Arrangement Before Ordering

• Identify the replacement position: Confirm the enclosure article number and the base plate segments to be replaced. Check the cable route against the mounting plate position and available space for bending and cable support.
• Match the grommets to the cables: Record the outside diameter and quantity of each cable, plus the dimensions of any fitted connectors. Rittal's shared info sheet lists grommets 4311.000, 4316.000, 4317.000 and 4318.000; verify the appropriate type and size before ordering.
• Follow the article-specific mounting details: The info sheet includes additional installation steps for 1000 and 1200 mm widths.
• Check the complete seal: Follow the installation instructions for the plates and grommets. The plate alone does not establish the protection rating of the finished cable entry.

For a complete quotation, list the plates and grommets as separate items and state the required number of packs. If the base has been modified, send a drawing or photo showing the intended cable entry position.

A: Rittal lists assembly components in the plate's scope of supply. Specify the required grommets separately in your enquiry so the plate and sealing components can be checked together.

Q2: Does one cut-out mean one cable?

A: No. The table counts openings in the plate. The selected grommet determines how many cables it can accommodate and the permitted cable diameters. Include connector dimensions when planning entries for cables with fitted connectors.

Q3: Can these plates be used in AX or TS enclosures?

A: This product range is specified for VX and VX SE enclosures. For AX, TS or another enclosure system, send SUWI the exact enclosure article number and base details so a suitable cable entry arrangement can be checked.
