The outlet filter is used in conjunction with the corresponding fan-and-filter unit to dissipate heat loss from enclosures, ventilate the enclosure and protect temperature-sensitive components. This is achieved through the direct infeed of ambient air, the temperature of which must be lower than the permissible internal temperature of the enclosure.

The Rittal SK 3240300 is a RAL 7035 light-grey Blue e+ outlet filter for SK 3240.7xx, 3240.9xx, 3241.7xx and 3241.9xx fan-and-filter units. Installed in an enclosure wall, it provides a filtered exit for warm internal air while a matching powered fan brings in cooler ambient air. This ventilation path helps release heat from electrical components housed inside.

Select SK 3240300 when the powered fan is in one of the specified Blue e+ SK 3240 or SK 3241 families and the enclosure requires a RAL 7035 light-grey outlet. The filter has a 255 × 255 mm face and needs a 224 × 224 mm panel opening. Verify both dimensions and the installation clearance on the enclosure drawing.
The supplied pleated filter is accessible through the opening louvred grille, making inspection and filter changes easier during routine maintenance. Optimized snap hooks support tool-free mounting once the panel cut-out has been prepared.
Rittal specifies IP54 and NEMA Type 12 with a pleated filter. The listed IP55 arrangement adds an absorber mat, while the IP56 and NEMA Type 3/3R/4/4X arrangements use a filter with a compatible hose-proof hood. Select the powered fan separately according to enclosure heat loss and operating temperatures.
