Rittal Frame-Mounted Component Shelves

Rittal frame-mounted component shelves support equipment in cabinets without 482.6 mm (19-inch) mounting. This series includes slotted shelves for 600 mm and 800 mm wide enclosures.

Cabinet width and shelf width are different measurements. For example, DK 7464035 fits a 600 mm wide cabinet and has a shelf width of 471 mm. Use the shelf dimensions to assess equipment fit, leaving room for connectors and cables.

Selected Models and Dimensions

The models below differ in cabinet width, shelf depth and supporting hardware. The load ratings shown apply to fixed installations with the specified components.

These are distributed-load ratings, not point-load ratings. Equipment supported on small feet or with an uneven weight distribution needs a separate assessment.

Choosing the Shelf Depth

Rittal specifies a maximum shelf depth of enclosure depth minus 100 mm. A 600 mm deep enclosure therefore permits a shelf depth of up to 500 mm under this rule. Installed equipment, cable routes or other obstructions may reduce the available space.

Measure the equipment body together with its connectors and cable bends. For pull-out access, allow room in front of the cabinet for the shelf to extend and for the operator to reach the equipment.

A: No. Cabinet width is the external enclosure dimension. The listed shelves for 600 mm wide cabinets are 471 mm wide.

Q2: Can this replace a shelf mounted on 19-inch rails?

A: This series uses enclosure-frame attachment. A shelf mounted directly on 19-inch rails has a different mounting arrangement and is not a direct replacement.
