Rittal KX 1555000 E-Box, Carbon Steel
The Rittal KX 1555000 is a 300 × 300 × 120 mm carbon steel E-Box for control and connection layouts that need more horizontal mounting space. Its 275 × 285 mm mounting plate allows terminals, relays, compact control devices and wiring duct to be arranged side by side instead of being compressed into a narrow vertical layout.
This square format suits local machine-control and junction assemblies where a 200 mm-wide enclosure is too narrow but additional enclosure height is unnecessary. The final selection should be based on the completed component and wiring layout, not the external dimensions alone.

The 275 × 285 mm mounting plate gives KX 1555000 a nearly square working area. Compared with KX 1554000, the enclosure is 100 mm wider while keeping the same 300 mm height and 120 mm depth, giving more room to arrange device groups and wiring across the plate.
This format is useful when terminals, relays and compact control devices need to be arranged in adjacent groups rather than mainly in vertical rows. Lay out the equipment and wiring duct on the mounting plate first, then check component projection and conductor routing against the 120 mm enclosure depth.
If 175 mm of mounting width is sufficient, KX 1554000 may be the more relevant size. If the 275 mm width is adequate but the assembly needs additional vertical mounting space, compare the taller KX size before ordering.

Set the enclosure orientation and cable-entry direction before locating openings. On the 300 × 300 mm housing, bottom or side entries must be positioned so they do not reduce the usable edge area of the 275 × 285 mm mounting plate or conflict with wiring duct and component terminals. Check every position against the current Rittal dimensional drawing, and show reference edges, center coordinates, dimensions and tolerances on the machining drawing.
For review, provide: KX 1555000, quantity, an approved drawing or CAD file, opening sizes and positions, tolerances and cable-entry direction. Confirm the final drawing before machining because the external 300 × 300 × 120 mm dimensions do not define usable internal clearance.
