Rittal KX 1556000 E-Box, Carbon Steel
The Rittal KX 1556000 is a 300 × 400 × 120 mm carbon steel E-Box designed for compact electrical control and connection installations. Its taller format provides additional vertical installation space while retaining a 300 mm enclosure width.
The KX 1556000 is suitable for local machine controls, electrical junction points and small automation installations where additional enclosure height is required without increasing the overall width.

Compared with KX 1555000, KX 1556000 keeps the same 300 mm width and 120 mm depth but increases the enclosure height from 300 mm to 400 mm and the mounting plate height from 285 mm to 385 mm. The additional height matters when the equipment arrangement needs another row or when wiring must be kept clear of the main component area.
Lay out the upper and lower equipment positions together with the cable-entry zone before choosing the taller enclosure. Top or bottom entries can consume part of the added vertical space, so the full 275 × 385 mm plate should not automatically be treated as available component area. If the complete assembly already fits comfortably on the 275 × 285 mm mounting plate of KX 1555000, the extra enclosure height is unnecessary.

For other accessory categories or another enclosure size, return to the KX E-Box series page.
Set the enclosure orientation and cable-entry direction before locating openings. On this taller housing, top or bottom entries must be checked against the first and last equipment rows on the 275 × 385 mm mounting plate; side openings must not conflict with wiring duct, terminals or projected components. Check every position against the current Rittal dimensional drawing, and show reference edges, center coordinates, dimensions and tolerances on the machining drawing.
For review, provide: KX 1556000, quantity, an approved drawing or CAD file, opening sizes and positions, tolerances and cable-entry direction. Confirm the final drawing before machining because the external 300 × 400 × 120 mm dimensions do not define usable internal clearance.
